Who Can Visit: Patient family, friends and loved ones of all ages are welcome. Pets are welcome too.

Visiting Hours: The Hospice Care Inpatient Center is open 24 hours a day for families and loved ones. For security reasons, all doors are locked from 8:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Please ring the doorbell to enter after 8:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. entrance.

Food for Patients: Patient meals are served three times a day; patients who do not wish to eat at mealtimes may arrange for snacks at other times. To the extent possible, all dietary restrictions are honored. Our dietary personnel visit each patient daily to help patients decide what they would like for the following day.

We also provide a family kitchen, located just behind the patient dining area. Family members are invited to bring favorite foods from home for patients, store small amounts of food, and reheat food before serving.

Food for Visitors: All food must be dated and labeled with patients name. Coffee and tea are available in the family kitchen.

Alcohol Policy: Patients may have an alcoholic beverage when approved by the physician in the patient’s Plan of Care. Note that a Hospice nurse must be advised when alcohol is brought on to the premises, and must store the beverage and dispense it according to the Plan of Care.

Pet Policy: Clean and well-controlled pets that are important to the patient are welcome to visit. The pet owner is responsible for control of the animal.

Non-Discrimination Policy: Hospice care is offered and provided to patients and their loved ones without discrimination on the basis of race, origin, religious preference, diagnosis, gender, age, handicap, gender identity or ability to pay.

Overnight Stays for Family: While our accommodations are very limited, one or two family members may spend the night at the Hospice Care Inpatient Center to be near loved ones. A nurse can help with these arrangements. We also have pull out sofas so you can stay with your loved one.

We also have contract rates at a local hotel; please see the staff for further information.
